Georgetown to Test Prius Plug-in

From Toyota:

"Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A., Inc. (TMS) announced today its launch of a Prius plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHV) demonstration program at Georgetown University.  Two vehicles will be loaned to the university as part of a global plug-in hybrid study with TMS and the U.S. Department of Energy's Clean Cities Program managing the long-term evaluation of the vehicles.

During the study, more than 150 PHVs are being delivered to demonstration program partners across the U.S.-600 throughout the world-to demonstrate plug-in hybrid technology, educate and inform the public about the cars, and capture real-world…
The all new Toyota Prius Plug-in will be coming to New York, as six of the company's test vehicles are headed to Central New York to experiment on real world conditions.

Toyota Camry Still Best Selling Vehicle

Toyota may have a full range of durable pick ups and eco-friendly hybrid cars, but the best selling model is still a staple in the Japanese auto maker's line up.

The 2010 Toyota Camry is the top selling car from the company in the first half of 2010. Sales this calendar year of the Camry total nearly 190,000 and are up 2.8 percent through the first seven months of 2010, compared with the year-earlier period.

The Camry has been a widely popular model for years, and has been dubbed a "smart buy" for much of that time…

Despite being speculation, it seems like a logical choice given the FT-86 is scheduled to launch in November 2011. Of course…

Toyota Prius Celebrates 10 Years

The Toyota Prius was launched ten years ago as an affordable car with a hybrid gas/electric powertrain. In the last decade, the Prius has made a strong mark on the automotive industry. The car with the unique wedge shape proved to be an agent of change, and a catalyst for innovative ideas. Over 1.8 million Prius cars have been sold in the world, with nearly 900,000 in the U.S. alone.

The people who have chosen to drive a Toyota Prius have prevented an estimated nine million tons of CO2 from entering the atmosphere, conserved approximately 650…
